Janice D. (Hogan) Altomari

WATERTOWN — Janice D. (Hogan) Altomari, 67, passed away peacefully, after a long battle with dementia, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the VITAS Inpatient Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the loving wife of Warren Altomari.

Janice was born August 18, 1952 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Edward and Doris (Bellemare) Hogan. She was a graduate of Watertown High School, Class of 1970.

Janice dedicated her life to her family, both as a mother and working with her husband, Warren, at their family business, CT Sew & Vac in Waterbury. She enjoyed knitting and getting together with her family on the weekends.

Besides her husband, Warren, of 46 years, she leaves her children, Dana Altomari and her boyfriend, Ken Keroack, and Kate McCasland and her husband, Pete, all of Watertown; her siblings, Michael Hogan and his wife, Holly, of Tennessee, Jack Hogan and his wife, Jennifer, of Watertown, David Hogan and his wife, Linda, of Watertown, Kathy Leach and her husband, Edward, Sharon Pilon of Texas and Kim Swan and her husband, Manus, of North Carolina; and her three beautiful grandchildren, Eva, Nicholas and Giulia McCasland.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Patricia Coffey and Linda Hogan.

A Mass of Christian Burial with Janice’s cremains present was celebrated February 5 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St., Watertown. Entombment followed at Mount Olivet Columbarium. Arrangements were by Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VITAS Inpatient Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital, 56 Franklin St., 4th Floor, Waterbury 06706.
