Donna D. Marcil

OAKVILLE — Donna D. Marcil, 80, of Oakville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 14 2020, at Waterbury Hospital in the loving embrace of her beloved and longtime companion, Michael Rinaldi.

Donna was born December 30, 1939, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late John and Florence (Graham) Hanson.

She was a graduate of Wilby High School and spent many years as a banking supervisor with the former Bank of Boston. After retiring from the bank, Donna spent several years working as a CNA throughout the greater Waterbury area.

Donna looked forward to spending summers camping in North Woodstock and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She was an avid cat lover, loved flowers and watching and feeding the birds from her window.

Left to cherish the many memories of Donna and carry on her legacy, besides Michael Rinaldi, her fiance of more than 40 years with whom she made her home, are her three children, Paul Marcil of New York, Robin Juliani of North Carolina, Mark Marcil, Sr., of Connecticut, as well as eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; Paul Marcil of New York, and her beloved cat, Penelope.

Funeral services for Ms. Marcil will take place in the spring of 2021. Further details will be announced at that time.

The O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
