David L. Moody

WATERTOWN — David L. Moody, 76, of Watertown, recently passed away at his home. He was the beloved husband of Donna Lovallo Moody.

David was born May 8, 1943 in Waterbury, the son of the late Kenneth and Elise (Taylor) Moody. He graduated from Wilby High School and then from Bentley College in Massachusetts.

David was a former Waterbury police officer and also had a used car dealership, Aurora Motors in Torrington. He loved to restore old cars and attend car shows, as well as auctions.

David was a great animal lover, particularly of dogs and cats.

He made the world a better place and those who knew him are blessed and thankful to have had him in their lives.

Besides his wife, Donna, David is survived by his son, David A. Moody and his wife, Amy, and his daughter, Marie Hendricks of Maine; four grandchildren; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Anthony Vitale of Waterbury and Carmel and Jim Perillo of Watertown, and his mother-in-law, Elsie Lovallo of Waterbury.

The family would like to give a special thanks to David’s good friend, Ted DellaCamera of Oakville, for his friendship and support.

Funeral services for Mr. Moody took place privately at the request of the family. Arrangements were by O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St., Oakville.
