WATERTOWN — Charles Klamkin, a 30-year resident of Watertown, died Saturday, August 31, 2019 in Philadelphia, Pa.

He was 95 years old.

Mr. Klamkin was born November 2, 1923 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He graduated from Clark University and served in the U.S. Army as a staff photographer during World War II.

He wrote or co-authored numerous books about fine arts and antiques, consumer issues and collectibles.

He leaves his three children, Joan Rainer of Philadelphia, Lynn Klamkin of San Francisco and Peter Klamkin of Flower Mound, Texas; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His wife, Marian, died in 2012.

A memorial service took place in Philadelphia.
