WOODBURY — The Mattatuck Unitarian Universalist Society, 214 Main St. South, will host Robin McHaelen, the founder and executive director of True Colors, at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 24.

Ms. McHaelen will present an interactive community conversation called Making ‘Ally’ a Verb, addressing how to support LGBTQ youth.

True Colors works with social service agencies, schools and organizations within communities to ensure that the needs of sexual- and gender-minority youth are both recognized and completely met.

The group trains more than 2,400 people annually, organizes the largest LGBTQ conference in the country and manages the only LGBTQ mentoring program in the state.

MUUS shares a building with First Congregational Church. Parking is behind the church in the LaBonne’s parking lot.

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available.
