LITCHFIELD — White Memorial Conservation Center will host a Spring Nature Camp from Tuesday, April 13 to Friday, April 16.

The hours are 9:30 a.m. to noon for grades 1 through 3, and from 1:30 to 4 p.m. for grades 4 to 6.

Campers will hike the grounds of White Memorial, looking and listening for all the signs of the season, from new plants emerging, to turtles basking in the sun, to frogs croaking, to butterflies fluttering by.

There will be outdoor games, crafts and education animals, while observice Covid safety protocols.

Sessions will be held in-person, taking place outdoors or in the Activity Shed with barn doors open on two sides.

Masks are required for everyone. No snacks or drinks will be served, campers may bring their own. Suitable outdoor shoes and jackets are required.

Parents are welcome to stay, but it is not necessary.

Those attending will meet on the lawn between the main parking srea and the Nature Museum.

Advanced registration is required. Space is limited to 10 children per day.

There is a fee. Financial aid is available.
