WOODBURY — The Woodbury Public Library will host a virtual presentation titled Titanic - A Date with Destiny, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 20 via Zoom.

Listen to story of the Titanic – its celebrated construction, employing thousands during difficult times, its sailing, life on board and final hours presented by John Cilio.

Few know that the Titanic’s plunge into the frigid Atlantic was predicted more than a decade before the disaster. In a strange twist of fate, the author of that prediction inadvertently foretold his own death; he was on board the Titanic when it sank in April 1912.

Presenter John Cilio is a historian and storyteller. Mr. Cilio lives in Sherman and is the author of six historical books and more than 200 articles covering a broad range of topics, and has spoken on a wide range of topics in over 60 countries. His goal is to make history relevant, engaging and enlightening.
