WOODBURY — The Better Days Rescue Fund is seeking help for Helen, a very tiny senior lady with a strong will to survive. Helen came to Better Days Rescue with eye infections so severe that they left her mostly blind. Part of her tail was missing and the remaining tail had been broken in two places. Because of her infections, including a large abscessed growth and rotten, painful teeth, she needed surgery.
Helen was quite frail and the surgery was hard on her. It took awhile for her to recover her strength.
But Helen is a fighter and against the odds, she pulled through. Despite her physical challenges, she is happy and enjoying her new chance at a comfortable, pain-free life.
“Helen is incredibly sweet and purrs just at the mention of her name,” said Better Days Executive Director Yvonne Reelick. “It is a complete joy to have her with us at the sanctuary. Your donations will make it possible to give her the life she deserves.”
Better Days Rescue Fund is seeking monetary donations to help pay for Helen’s vet bill and ongoing care.
They are also asking for donations of household items, home decor, tools, collectibles, etc., to be sold at their tag sale from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at 107 Lum Lot Rd., Southbury, rain or shine, to benefit Helen and other special needs cats at the sanctuary.
The organization is also in need of used towels of all sizes.
Donation drop-off or pick-up information can be had by emailing to email@example.com.
