WOODBURY — Flanders Nature Center and Land Trust will host a program to explore the world of night time insects at 8 p.m. Friday, August 16, in the Flanders Studio.

The studio is located at the intersection of Flanders and Church Hill Road.

Michael McAloon, a Ph.D. candidate in entomology, will lead the program.

Following a short talk by Mr. McAloon in the studio, participants will head outside to observe, identify and collect nocturnal insects.

All ages are welcome.

Those attending are recommended to bring along a headlamp or flashlight to help them maneuver in the darkness.

The cost to attend is $10 for Flanders members or $15 for non-members.

Those interested in taking part in the August 16 event may register online at the Flanders website, www.flandersnaturecenter.org or call the nature center, 203-263-3711, ext. 12, for more information.
