OAKVILLE — The Watertown-Oakville Veterans’ Council will host a Korean War Memorial Ceremony at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 27.

The Korean War began on June 25, 1950 and ended on July 27, 1953. It is memorialized in Washington, D.C. commemorating the sacrifices of the 5.8 million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Services during the three-year period of the war.

The ceremony will take place at the Korean War Pedestrian Bridge at the Steele Brook Greenway, Route 73 in Oakville, between 900 and 1465 Main Sts.
