WATERTOWN — The Watertown History Museum is hosting a Genealogy and Family History Zoom Winter Workshop at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 26.

The museum is located at 401 Main St.

The museum’s first program of the new year is geared to explore online resources to aid in genealogy and family history searches and help evaluate what is found.

The program is designed for those interested in family history and genealogy, who may be frustrated trying to find information about ancestors or the places they lived.

It also will teach participants how to verify what is found in a search.

The museum’s Curator Diane Ciba is experienced in researching the past.

Drawing on her experience helping students find their roots, she will offer tips and tricks for finding the information. She will also offer advice on evaluating confusing or conflicting sources.

Registration is required.

Those wishing to register may go to the Museum website at www.watertownhistorymuseum.org/upcoming-events or email curator@watertownhistorymuseum.org.
