Church to Host Diaper Drive for Carolyn’s Place

WATERTOWN — The Council of Catholic Women of St. John the Evangelist Church is hosting a Diaper Drive for Carolyn’s Place from 4:15 to 5 p.m. prior to 5 p.m. Mass on Saturday, March 6 at the tent in the parking lot of St. John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St.

An additional drive up opportunity from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 7 and 1/2 hour before the 7:30, 9, and 11 a.m. Masses.

Carolyn’s Place on Grandview Avenue, Waterbury, was founded after a baby girl was left at St. John the Evangelist Church Nov. 4, 1991.

It relies on donations and volunteers and serves the greater community in helping pregnant women in need as “no woman should face pregnancy alone”. Carolyn’s Place has a dire need currently of diapers sizes N (newborn) and 4, 5 and 6, baby lotion and baby head-to-toe wash.

Donations will help so many babies in need.
