Book Discussion of ‘The Dutch House’ Slated

WASHINGTON — New York Times best-selling author Ann Patchett’s latest publication, “The Dutch House,” will be the topic of a book discussion organized by the Gunn Memorial Library. Facilitated by Washington author and literary enthusiast Ann Hodgman, the program will take place via Zoom Video Conferencing at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28. Those planning to attend may visit for the link.

“The Dutch House” is a richly moving story that explores the indelible bond between two siblings, the house of their childhood and a past that will not let them go. It is the story of a paradise lost, a tour de force that digs deeply into questions of inheritance, love and forgiveness, of how we want to see ourselves and of who we really are.

Ann Hodgman is the author of numerous books.

Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, the New York Times Magazine, the New York Times Book Review and Food & Wine.

Digital copies of the book can be found through the Libby App. Details can be found by visiting the Digital Library page on the library’s website.

This program is free and open to the public.
