THOMASTON — The Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation is accepting applications for Phase III of its grant cycle, which are avaiable to nonprofits and government agencies in New Haven County, from Friday, October 1 to Sunday, October 31.

The foundation recently finished Phase II of its grant cycle, and awarded 111 grants totaling $228,908.19 to towns in Litchfield County, including Bethlehem, Litchfield, Morris, Oakville, Thomaston, Watertown and Woodbury.

The foundation was created in 1997 to distribute funds annually to a variety of local programs. The funds are used to benefit local organizations that provide various charity throughout the towns which the bank serves.
