Top Ten Plants Library Subject

Dr. Richard Benfield will discuss Thieves, Charlatans, and James Bond: The Murky History of the Top 10 Plants, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, at the Woodbury Senior Community Center, 265 Main St. South.

WOODBURY — The Pomperaug Valley Garden Club will present a lecture on Thieves, Charlatans, and James Bond: The Murky History of the Top 10 Plants, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 8 at the Woodbury Senior Community Center, 265 Main St. South. Dr. Richard Benfield, a professor of geography at Central Connecticut State University, will present the lecture. Dr. Benfield has a varied background in teaching, tourism and as an author.

His research has taken him to more than 115 countries, where he has visited botanical, public and private gardens.

Guests are welcome to join for a $5 donation.
