DERBY — The state Department of Energy and Environmental Center’s Kellogg Environmental Center will host a virtual event titled Black Walnuts and More, at 6 p.m. on Monday, November 30.

Explore the survival methods and secrets of the black walnut and other nut trees. 

All ages are welcome. 

Learn more about the walnut tree’s history, role in the food web and its adaptions for survival.
