DERBY — The state Department of Energy and Environmental Center’s Kellogg Environmental Center will host a virtual presentation titled American Chestnuts, at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 5.

The American Chestnut Foundation’s New England Regional Science Coordinator Kendra Collins and Connecticut Chapter President Jack Swatt will give an overview of restoration efforts to save the American chestnut.

Ms. Collins will walk through TACF’s science plan for rescuing the species and Mr. Swatt will share how the local chapter is putting the plans into action.
