WATERBURY — The Waterbury Arts and Tourism Commission, the Bunker Hill Neighborhood Association, and Thomaston Savings Bank will host a free Summer Concert Series at Bunker Hill Park on Bunker Hill Avenue, across from Bunker Hill Pharmacy and Walnut Hill Community Church.

Although admission is free, those attending are asked to bring non-perishable food items or canned goods to support a local food ministry.

The dates of the concerts are as follows:

The Cutouts, playing classic rock and rockabilly, will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 18.

The rain date is Friday, June 25.

BackBeat, playing funk, Motown, R&B and soft rock, will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 23.

The rain date is Friday, July 30.

Soul Funk, who will perform soul and funk, will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 20.

The rain date is Friday, August 27. The band’s website is www.soulfunkband.com.

A Save the Date concert is planned for the afternoon of Saturday, September 18. The rain date is Sunday, September 19.

Dukes’ Delish, the food vendor from last year, will be on site with hotdogs, hamburgers, Philly cheesesteaks, and a special Bunker Hill Burger along with cold beverages.

Those attending are asked to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
