LITCHFIELD — The Litchfield Historical Society will host Poetry of the Gardens: A Nature Writing Workshop with Artists Thomasina Levy and Leslie Johnson from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, September 14 in the Tapping Reeve Meadow, 82 South St. The workshop is sponsored by the Connecticut Office of the Arts.

After listening to nature-themed poems and a musical performance, the teaching artists will lead participants in poetic exercises and creation of original poems inspired by the sights and sounds of the garden.
