Thomaston Library to Host Matt on the Go Museum Program

THOMASTON — The Thomaston Public Library will host Matt on the Go, a Mattatuck Museum program at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 23 at 248 Main St.  Valerie Rodgers, lead educator at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, will present the program with a series of images of paintings, artwork and archival photographs from the museum’s changing exhibitions currently on view. Ms. Rodgers will also discuss historical facts about Rose Hill in Waterbury, which is the temporary home of the museum as it undergoes renovations.

The Mattatuck Museum is an art and regional history museum in Waterbury, starting out as a historical society in 1877.

The museum collects and exhibits American art and cultural history, with a focus on the history of the Naugatuck Valley and the artists of the state.

The library program is free and open to the public.
