The Seymour Library is pleased to welcome the well known author Charles Monagon. Charles Monagon was the editor of Connecticut Magazine for more than a decade and is the author of 10 books including the novel "Carrie Welton", the "Neurotic's Handbook" and "How to get a Monkey into Harvard". One of his latest works is a new revision of a 2006 book "Connecticut Icons."

He will be here at the library to talk about his favorite Connecticut Icons--what is it about a place or something that makes it representative of Connecticut's traditions and character?  He will be here with a collection of photographs, anecdotes and little known facts associated with his icons. His Connecticut Icons  include such places as the Merritt Parkway, The Yale Bowl, The USS Nautilus and The Hot Lobster Roll. He will welcome discussion on his choices and possible additions to his list.
