WASHINGTON - Devereux Glenholme was selected for a Promising Practices Citation by the Character Education Partnership. The award came as a result of the school's work in creating the Teens Who Care Foundation, a student-run philanthropy foundation. The school will be listed in a book to be published by CEP titled, "2000 Schools of Character." Devereux Glenholme was also recognized as a semi-finalist at the National Schools of Character Awards ceremony. Twenty-one semifinalists were selected nationwide for the ten finalist awards. Evaluation included an extensive on-site visit from the CEP.
Devereux Glenholme is the home of The Glenholme School, a residential program for children ages 5 to 16 at admission, who have emotional, behavioral or learning difficulties.
